HIRU FM and Sun FM celebrate their 19^th Anniversary today.

HIRU fm and Sun FM launched on the 1^st of July in 1998 and created history in the hearts and minds of many Sri Lankans by setting a new trend in the sphere of radio broadcasting.

Comedy, Humanitarian issues, News and other quality Entertainment were combined to produce programming that caused a revolution in Sri Lankan radio

HIRU FM has retained the number 1 spot in Sinhala radio for over a decade and received numerous awards in recognition of the excellence.

They proved to be leaders in creative and innovative broadcasting.

Our sister Television Channel HIRU TV has also progressed to be the undisputed leader in local television.

The guidance and direction of the Chairman of Asia Broadcasting corporation, Mr. Rayynor Silva, has led to HIRU FM and Sun fm retaining their position as being dominant forces in Sri Lankan radio, setting very high standards that has been acknowledged as being world class entertainment.
