Hiru Shraddhabhi Wandana Conducts Offerings Following the Ancient Royal Practices [Photos]

Hiru Shraddhabhi Wandana religious program organised by Hiru FM and Hiru TV in view of Poson full moon poya day was successfully concluded at the sacred grounds of Matale Aluviharaya yesterday.

The Adhishtana Puja, encompassing an offering of hundreds of thousands of jasmine flowers, oil lamps and the sound of drums and conches, was conducted under the patronage of the Chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Rayynor Silva, in accordance with his concept.

Hiru Shraddhabi Wandana, the religious program organized by Hiru FM and Hiru TV in commemoration of the Poson Full Moon Poya day – which signifies the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahat Mihindu Thera, commenced last morning at the sacred site of Matale Aluviharaya.

Devotees in large numbers gathered at the sacred grounds to participate in Hiru Shraddhabhi Wandana.
