Hiru Uththama Dhaathu Vandanaa attracts massive crowds on its return

The Sacred Kapilawasthu exact Relics have been escorted to the Padeniya Raja Maha Viharaya as part of the HIRU Uththama Dhaathu Vandanaa organized by HIRU TV and HIRU FM in view of the birth of Prince Siddhartha, his enlightenment and the Parinirvana of Lord Buddha.

Massive crowds arrived at the Ridi Viharaya in Kurunegala to pay homage to the Kapilawasthu Relics until this dawn.

The Sacred Kapilawasthu Relics were escorted from the Ridee Vihaaraya to the Padeniya Raja Maha Viharaya, passing the towns of Rideegama, Kurunegala, Wariyapola and Padeniya.

Large crowds gathered beside the road to worship the sacred relics.

Our correspondent stated massive crowds have been arriving at the Padeniya Raja Maha Viharaya to worship the sacred relics.

The relics will be escorted again to Kattapitiya Temple in Kobeigane at 1.30pm.

The Relics exposition will be held until 5.30 pm at Kobeigane temple until they are escorted to Priyadarshanaramaya in Divulapitiya at night.

Asia Broadcasting Corporation has made all arrangements to exhibit the sacred Kapilawasthu Exact Relics at Priyadarshanaramaya until 7.30am tomorrow.

HIRU Uttama Dhathu Vandana Kapilawasthu Relics exposition commenced day before yesterday morning amid massive crowds at Ridi Viharaya in Kurunegala.

Amid the ‘Sadhu nada” raised by thousands of devotees, the relics were placed in a special shrine by Chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Rayynor Silva.

Massive crowds lined up to worship the sacred relics.

Uttama Dhathu Vandana exposition has been recorded as the one which is witnessed by the largest number of devotees in the island.
