HIRU Uththama Dhatu Vandanawa continues at Jethawanaramaya sacred site
Millions of devotees are turning out to the historical Jethawanaramaya sacred site in Anuradhapura to witness the Hiru Uththama Dhathu Vandana, which has been organized by HIRU FM and HIRU TV to mark Vesak celebrations.
The exact sacred Relics of Kapilawasthu were brought from Waskaduwa Sri Subhuthi Temple to the Jethawanaramaya sacred premises last morning.
They were placed in a special shrine by the chairman of Asia Broadcasting Corporation, Mr. Rayynor Silva.
Later, devotees were allowed to witness the sacred relics.
The Chairman of the Asia Broadcasting Corporation Mr. Rayynor Silva distributed the morning meal and religious souvenirs among the devotees.
Hundreds and thousands of devotees arrived at the historical Jethawanaramaya sacred site to pay homage to the sacred relics of Kapilawasthu.
Asia Broadcasting Corporation made arrangements to ensure that the visiting devotees at the temple premises were provided with every facility.
The exhibition of Kapilawasthu sacred relics will be held at Jethawanaramaya until early tomorrow morning (May 2).
